Hi, I’m Ivy
I’m a 5-month-old Shih Tzu with a pink bow, a playful spirit, and so much love to give.
I love toys. I love other dogs. Playtime is my happy place, and cuddles? Even better. I’m sweet, and always ready to be your little sidekick. I may be small, but my personality is mighty.

I also want to share my story…
I was going to be euthanized by my breeder — simply because I wasn’t “perfect.” Thankfully, a rescue stepped in and saved my life.

Here’s my truth: I’m incontinent and I don’t have control of my back legs. I wear a diaper (and I’m very good about it!), need help with changes, and can’t do stairs. But none of that stops me from living a full, joyful life. I scoot wherever I want to go and don’t let anything dim my sparkle.
I’m looking for a foster home or a forever family who sees my heart before my challenges. I’ll need a little extra care — and I’ll give you a lifetime of love in return.

Interview

A Wags 2 Wishes Adoption Specialist will contact you by email for any information that needs clarification. Check spam folder!

Meet the Pet

Schedule a meet and greet with the adoptive dog and your family at our rescue center in Plainfield.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If all approve, sign contracts and pay adoption fee Adoption Fees are: $200.00-$500.00 (subject to change without notice)
