5-month-old Shih Tzu

Ivy is looking for a special adopter — someone patient, compassionate, and ready to commit to her lifelong care. She was born with congenital spinal differences that affect her mobility, but they do not affect her happiness or zest for life.

Ivy’s needs include:

♿ No functional use of her back legs (congenital, not from injury)

🩲 Urine incontinent — will need diapers and consistent care

🚽 Has bowel control and is doing well with potty training

🦽 Wheelchair use for confidence and mobility as she grows

Medical notes:

Vet does not believe Ivy is in pain

No surgery or amputation recommended

Physical therapy will not restore function, but mobility support will help her thrive

Interview

A Wags 2 Wishes Adoption Specialist will contact you by email for any information that needs clarification. Check spam folder!

Meet the Pet

Schedule a meet and greet with the adoptive dog and your family at our rescue center in Plainfield.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If all approve, sign contracts and pay adoption fee Adoption Fees are: $200.00-$500.00 (subject to change without notice)
