Meet Joey
Joey is a sweet Chihuahua mix—definitely larger than your typical Chihuahua—and while we’re not quite sure what other breed is in his mix, we are sure he has a gentle heart. He came to Pet Rescue By Judy after being lovingly surrendered when his owner could no longer care for him due to health reasons.
Joey’s past has shaped him into a slightly shy and cautious boy. He may have been used to having just one person, and he may have spent a lot of time crated because of his owner’s limitations. The good news is that Joey does very well in a crate and finds comfort there. Even more heart-melting is how much he wants to be part of whatever is going on around him—he watches with interest and clearly wants connection, even if he’s not quite sure how to ask for it yet.
Joey wants to be loved and, with a little patience and understanding, he will blossom into a devoted companion. He would do best in a calm, quiet home with no children or older, respectful children who can give him the space and reassurance he needs to build confidence and come out of his shell.
