Meet Carol
Carol is a sweet, sensitive girl who thrives in a calm, gentle environment. She appreciates slow movements, quiet voices, and respectful companions—doing best with small dogs or cats who are happy to give her a little personal space. Loud or sudden noises can startle her, but when approached thoughtfully, her loving side truly shines.
Carol has an adorable overbite that doesn’t slow her down one bit—it only adds to her charm. Once she feels comfortable, she shows affection in the sweetest ways: leaning in to hug your leg, giving gentle face kisses, and happily settling into your lap if invited. When she’s feeling playful, she’ll wiggle her entire rear and tail with delight, sometimes letting out the silliest little growl noises that make it nearly impossible to say no—especially when those soulful eyes are involved.
She loves bones and sturdy stuffed toys and enjoys spending time playing on her own. Mornings are one of her favorite times: she heads outside to her fenced yard to potty (earning a small treat, of course), comes in for a light breakfast, and then sets out to find toys to play with. Throughout the day, Carol benefits from a few bathroom breaks paired with plenty of praise, gentle conversation, and affection. She’s a good water drinker and appreciates having fresh water available.
At bedtime, Carol enjoys a snack before settling into her kennel. She prefers her blankets just right—neatly arranged—before she’ll go in, but once everything is set, she happily enters with a training treat and settles in for the night.
Carol would do best in a patient, loving home that understands her gentle nature and allows her to feel safe and secure. In return, she offers loyalty, sweetness, and a heart full of quiet love.
Carol is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.

*Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*
If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
