My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Maverick — Your Loyal, Playful Companion!

Maverick is a 3-year-old, 65-lb Pitbull with an old soul and a heart full of love. This mature, quiet, and playful boy has been thriving in foster care and is now ready to find a forever family who can appreciate his warm, affectionate personality.

About Maverick:
• Age: 3 years
• Gender: Male
• Size: 65 lbs
• Breed: Pitbull
• Neutered: Yes
• House-Trained: Yes
• Good With: Older kids; Not sure about other dogs; No cats, please.

Maverick is the perfect mix of maturity and youthful spirit. He enjoys engaging playtime, loves a comfy couch cuddle, and settles beautifully indoors. He’s fully housebroken, crate trained, and currently brushing up on his basic commands.

Maverick walks well on a leash and is an excellent partner for daily strolls or weekend adventures. He also enjoys enrichment activities—like puzzle toys and hide-and-seek games—that challenge his mind and keep him occupied and happy.

While he’s typically calm and composed, Maverick occasionally gets a case of the “epic zoomies,” so a fenced yard is highly recommended. He can become excited when he sees other dogs and is currently working with a trainer to help him manage that enthusiasm.

Maverick will thrive with a patient, understanding family who can support his continued confidence-building and help him channel his bursts of energy in healthy ways.

Maverick is up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered—all he’s missing is a family to share his loyalty, affection, and playful spirit. If you’re looking for a devoted companion with a big heart and an even bigger smile, Maverick is your perfect match.

More about this rescue

Pet Pack Rescue Initiative was founded in 2022 as an all foster, all volunteer run organization. Since our inception, we have placed over 1000 dogs and cats into forever homes. Our motto is to support fosters to save lives. Our goal is the idea of we can, we will, we must in order to successfully survive as an organization. We rely 100% on donations, grants, and adoption fees to help offset our costs.
