Luke is a deeply bonded, sensitive Shar-Pei who forms very strong attachments to his person. He is loving, loyal, and people-oriented, and thrives when he has consistent human presence and a predictable routine.
He is best suited for a home where someone is home most of the day (retired, work-from-home, or very flexible schedule) and where departures are minimal or gradual. A calm, patient environment is important for him to feel safe.
Luke is affectionate and very attached to his people. He seeks reassurance through proximity and does best with a steady, confident handler who understands anxious or “velcro” dogs. He is not aggressive and has not shown bite behavior.
Due to my current life circumstances and home situation, I am no longer able to safely meet Luke’s emotional needs or manage his anxiety in a way that is healthy for either of us. I am committed to a responsible, transparent transition so he can be placed in a home better suited for his needs.
