If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I am part of a bonded pair with my brother Maxwell: https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/46727396-washington-district-of-columbia-cat
Tigerlily (Lily) is a very loving, but shy and skittish cat. I got her when she was 6 months old and she will be turning 10 in March. In the past few years she developed an unknown allergy and requires specialty food. Aside from the occasional ear infection, she is in great spirits. When her allergies were particularly bad, she lost the hair on the back of her ears and it never grew back. She doesn't seem to mind and it's kind of adorable.
I am having to rehome her brother (Maxwell, also listed) due to ongoing medical costs and she is bonded with him so I would like to find a home to take the both of them together. Preferably a quieter home due to how nervous Lily is. She has gained some weight in the past few months due to us moving back to the East Coast, as she hides under the bed mostly, only coming out for food and bathroom time.
