MY RESCUE STORY
My mom was abandoned for a long time and was going through repeated pregnancies. Thankfully, my siblings and I were rescued by caring people and have been given a second chance at life. I am still learning about this world, unfamiliar and a bit nervous, but I am excited to start a new chapter of my life and find my forever family.
MY HEALTH
MY PERSONALITY
My name is MOHYUN. I may be timid and shy at first and can take some time to open up but I am a growing boy with a warm heart. I have so much to learn about this world and despite being scared, I am curious to learn. I am still a very young puppy, and there is a lot I don’t know, so I will need your help to learn basic manners and to take walks. With your love, care and patience, I have the potential to grow to be an amazing companion!
MY SOCIAL SKILLS
· With People: I can take some time to open up, as I am bit shy, but I do enjoy eating snacks! I have yet had any experience meeting children under the age of 13, but I can be held by supporting my belly and hugging me securely.
· With Dogs: I enjoy saying hi to new dogs, but I like to take things slow and get familiar before I jump into play. I am more comfortable with dogs that are around my size, and I feel calmer and more supported when I have a dog friend around me.
· With Cats: I am unsure as to what a cat is yet. (A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit!)
ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY
I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, and I also love snuggling inside afterwards! I haven’t taken too many walks yet, so there may be times when I lay down on the ground if I am scared. I will need more training to be comfortable with walks.
TRAINING & HABITS
I don’t guard my food from other dogs or people, but I may, at times, bark when I want something. I may also bark when I meet unfamiliar people and run away when I try to be held, but I am calm when placed in a kennel. I need training in basic manners and taking walks. I usually like to potty outside but with training, I can learn to potty inside as well!
MY IDEAL HOME
My ideal home would be with a family who understands that I am a young rescue puppy and can support me with love, gentle guidance, patience, and consistent training. I would do best in a warm and calm environment where introductions to new dogs are done thoughtfully. A home with a dog friend of my size would be a great match for me, as I feel more supported and relaxed. A family that enjoys outdoor activities but also enjoys a cozy home would be perfect for me.
SPECIAL NOTES
To my future family,
I am considered a level 3 rescue dog – I can be shy and timid at first and can take time to adjust to the new environment. There is still so much that I don’t know so I can be scared at times but with your love, warmth, patience and training, I will be your forever friend and family.
