My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

✨ Meet Curly

Male • Glen of Imaal Terrier Mix • 4 Years Old Born 12/18/2021 • 15 pounds • Healthy • Vaccinated • Neutered • Cat friendly

Curly is a gentle little gentleman with a calm soul and a heart full of kindness. At four years old, he’s well past the puppy chaos and has settled into a peaceful, affectionate companion who truly enjoys the simple joys of life. Curly is friendly, easygoing, and has wonderful manners — the kind of dog who fits seamlessly into a loving home.

Personality

Curly is calm, friendly, and quietly affectionate. He enjoys companionship without being demanding and is happiest relaxing near his people. He’s also cat-friendly, making him a lovely option for multi-pet households. Curly has a steady temperament and a soothing presence — perfect for someone looking for a loyal, low-drama best friend.

Breed Info (Glen of Imaal Terrier Mix)

Glen of Imaal Terriers are known for being:

  • Loyal, gentle, and deeply devoted

  • Confident yet calm compared to other terriers

  • Intelligent and affectionate companions

  • Adaptable to many living situations

Curly’s mix brings together the best of these traits in a small, sturdy package.

Owner Responsibilities

Curly’s future family should be prepared to:

  • Provide daily companionship and gentle exercise

  • Maintain basic grooming and coat care

  • Offer consistency, structure, and affection

  • Keep up with routine veterinary care

Even though Curly is healthy, adopters should take him to their own veterinarian as soon as possible after adoption.

Things to Consider Before Adopting

  • Confirm landlord or HOA approval

  • Consider your daily routine and ability to provide companionship

  • Remember that calm dogs still need time, care, and love

  • Adoption is a lifetime commitment, not a temporary decision

The 3-3-3 Rule

The first 3 days help Curly decompress, the first 3 weeks help him learn your routine, and the first 3 months are when trust fully forms and he knows he’s home.

✨ Why Curly Will Be a Great Addition

Curly is the kind of dog who brings peace and warmth into a home. He’s gentle, loving, and easy to adore — a true companion for someone who values calm connection and steady love.

More about this rescue

We are dedicated to saving dogs from high kill shelters, strays, owner surrenders and hoarders. We have been saving animals since December 2016. We hold weekly adoption events at various pet stores and pet expos. We hire dog walkers to walk our dogs and we have volunteers who help us weekly. Many of our dogs go to boarding and training to become adoptable and work on their behavioral issues. All our dogs are assessed to find a great family match.

All dogs receive all necessary medical attention and all dogs are vetted.
