My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Date of Birth 11.01.2024

Sweet Hazel has risen above the abusive past life that she came from. She lost an eye to abuse as the past owner said "I hit her every time that she barks" as she was living in a cage much to small for her and never getting out. Hazel is just the sweetest girl and loving her new life and dog and cat buddies in her foster home.

We have Hazel marked as SPECIAL NEEDS simply because she had that one eye enucleated (surgical removal of the eye - permanent solution for severe, irreversible eye condition). Don't worry! There is no after care for her eye and she is so much more comfortable with it gone. Hazel has been sterilized, Heartworm negative and up to date on all her vaccines.

Hazel will require a secure fenced in yard. As she is still learning the ropes on being a loved dog we believe she would do best with a family that is home a great amount of time with a well balanced do buddy that can continue to teach her how to be a confident dog.

We are so proud of Hazel and excited to get her off to her forever home.

All animals are sterilized and current on vaccinations by time of adoption. If for some reason an animal can't be sterilized prior to adoption a spay/neuter contract will be signed and a spay/neuter deposit will be utilized.

All applications are reviewed by a volunteer based committee. Applications are first reviewed and approved for general adoption, once all applications on a specific pet are reviewed best home for the pet will be chosen. If the application passed committee review the applicant will be contacted for a home visit. If all goes well with a home visit, a meet and greet may be set up with desired pet if the committee feels it's a good match. If there is more than one applicant for a specific pet the committee will choose the home they feel best to fit the pets needs.
