Autumn has been in foster care with her siblings--all six of them! Now that they're grown up, it's getting a little crowded and they're ready to strike out on their own! Autumn is a feisty Tortie. She and her siblings Blaze, and Acorn are "the terrible trio." It seems like every litter has a few furballs to keep you on your toes. Autumn loves to romp, with or without playmates. She does not particularly enjoy being petted or picked up. She is a polydactyl and has extra toes, so she'll need a pet-i-cure to keep her nails comfy and tidy from time to time. If you're thinking about adopting multiple kittens, one of Autumn's many littermates would be purrfect!
Ready to Adopt a Kitten?
You have two options:
#1- VISIT IN PERSON
Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available kittens in the shelter.
(Kittens in foster care are not available for in-person visits.)
#2- ADOPT SIGHT UNSEEN
If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the kitten first, we can help over the phone or by email. (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours.
Kittens are adopted on a first come, first served basis, and we’re not able to place holds on them.
All kitten adoption fees include;
-spay/neuter
-rabies vaccination (if over 12 weeks of age)
-current on distemper vaccines (will need additional boosters with your veterinarian)
-FeLV blood test
-microchip implanted & registered to the adopter
-treatment of fleas/ticks/ear mites
-veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin
-free vet exam within 30 days after adoption with participating veterinarians
Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your new pet.
