My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Flash, Flash, Hundred Yard Dash! Meet our sweet boy Flash! Flash (A59751671) is a 2 year old, male, blonde, Golden Retriever. This handsome boy is loyal, vocal, and absolutely adores his humans. Flash thrives on companionship and would do best as the only dog in the home where he can soak up all the love and attention for himself. Because he prefers a calm environment, a household without young children is ideal for him. Flash is a total sweetheart on a leash and enjoys his daily walks, they’re one of his favorite ways to bond and explore. Like many goldens, he’s also a bit of a sucker for human food, so his new family will need to help keep him on track with healthy habits. An experienced owner familiar with the golden retriever breed would be the perfect match, someone who understands his simple needs and can give him the consistent, loving structure he deserves. Flash cost of adoption is $400 and includes:

Spay/Neuter
First set of vaccines
Rabies Vaccine
Routine dewormer
Free vet examination
Flea & tick treatment
Microchip

Additional adoption info

In the Central Valley, we have an over abundance of homeless and unwanted pets. There are simply too many companion animals and not enough homes! But you can help. One way to start putting an end to pet overpopulation is to adopt your next pet from the Central California SPCA. In doing so, you immediately give a home to an animal that didn’t have one, and you reduce the overall number of homeless pets in our community.

You are saving a life and enhancing your own. You are also helping to support the nearly 2,400 animals that come through our doors each year.

Please note that these are sheltered, homeless animals that are not always perfect in every way. They may need extra time to adjust or have unforeseen behavioral or medical problems. While we strive for successful placement by providing as healthy, well socialized animals as possible, we can only provide any history we have received, collected, or observed from staff or volunteers during their stay. More about this shelter

As the premier animal welfare organization in California’s Central Valley since 1895, we are committed to leading and serving our community of animals and people by providing programs and services which serve all the stages of an animal’s life. These programs include Adoptions, Rescue, Humane Investigations, Foster Care, Owner Surrenders, Outreach, Humane Education, Veterinary Services, Spay/Neuter programs, and many other Pet Services.

We are not federally, state, or locally funded and do not receive aid from any national organization (including the ASPCA). The CCSPCA owns its own land, buildings, and equipment purchased with privately donated funds. Our funds come from our loyal supporters, allowing us to provide many vital services to our community.
