My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Meet Sequoia! Sequoia is a 5-month-old female Lab/Great Pyrenees mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. She currently weighs about 47 lbs and still has some growing to do—both in size and sweetness (if that’s possible).

Sequoia is impressively well-mannered for her age. She is fully crate trained and house trained, and she can be trusted with free roam as long as tempting items are picked up. She knows sit, shake, down, stay, and even how to use a doggy doorbell to ask to go outside. On walks, she does great on leash and is currently polishing her skill of sitting nicely whenever her handler stops.

Socially, Sequoia is a dream. She loves cats, gets along with every dog she’s met, and her ”worst” trait is that she absolutely adores people. Her love language is enthusiastic and a bit smooshy—she’s a cuddler who doesn’t always realize how big she is, which is why a home with very small children may not be the best fit. That said, calm, well-trained kids could be considered.

One of her most charming quirks? She’s learning to carry the mail inside—a job she takes very seriously, especially because it involves her beloved mail carrier.

Sequoia would thrive in a home looking for a loyal, affectionate, smart young dog who wants to be involved in everyday life and trained as a true companion. If you’re ready for a loving shadow with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Sequoia may be your girl."

Sequoia is being fostered in Lakewood, Colorado.
