My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I’m Tilly, a quiet soul with a soft heart. I can be a little shy at first, and then as I feel safe, you will see just how sweet I am. I love sitting by the window and watching the world outside—birds, leaves, and passing cars keep me happily occupied. I enjoy peaceful companionship and do best when things around me feel calm and predictable.

I may feel a little overwhelmed at first, so I might choose a cozy safe spot while I adjust to new sounds, smells, and routines. With your patience and kindness, I’ll gain confidence and begin to show my gentle, affectionate side. I’m not demanding—just quietly appreciative of love given at my own pace.

I’ve lived around other animals and do well with both cats and dogs, but I don’t need another pet to be happy. I can share my space with friendly animal companions or be perfectly content as your one-and-only. Older respectful children only please.

If you’re looking for a sweet, low-key companion who will bring a sense of calm and warmth to your home, I could be the perfect fit.

More about this rescue

Our all-volunteer feline rescue group is non-profit and no-kill. We have served our area of MA since 2002.
Our mission is to reduce the suffering of homeless cats, with a focus on cats in Central Massachusetts. Our programs include trap-neuter-release, placement of working cats, and adoptions of pet cats. We rely heavily on community involvement -- through volunteerism, fostering, and community awareness.
We welcome new volunteers and donations! See our website, https://www.carmah.org/ for more information.
