My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My wife and I purchased Brooks from a breeder in April 2020. He’s a sweet, smart dog who loves people and generally plays well with other dogs, though he can get anxious at times.

Brooks enjoys being part of the daily routine and does best with structure. He loves going on walks, getting outside, and playing (fetch/ball). He’s bright and responds well to positive reinforcement.

We’re looking to rehome him for safety reasons: Brooks has developed a tendency to resource guard. He will sometimes take our children’s stuffed animals and then guard them, which isn’t safe in a home with small kids. We’re seeking an adult-only home (or at minimum no young children) with someone experienced and comfortable managing resource guarding, and who can provide consistency, clear boundaries, and a calm environment.

Adjectives: sweet, intelligent, affectionate, people-loving, playful, loyal, sometimes anxious.
