Snow White is living in a foster home! Please submit an application from our website or email dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org to see if you're a match!
Our cutest little gal, Snow White, came to us as a breeder release earlier this month and has been soaking up all the love in a foster home ever since! She is making great strides to acclimate to not living in a cage and being used for breeding, but she still has a ways to go since the whole world is new to her! She is still trying to master going potty outside, but has been doing well with pee pads. Her favorite thing is her foster dog sister! She has done well being left alone for a few hours at a time and will even snuggle in for some pets when she is feeling comfortable!
Here is what her foster dad has to say about her!
"Snow White, or Snow, for short has the sweetest personality and face. She is a breeder release and is still learning on how to be a dog. She absolutely loves her foster sister and mimics absolutely everything she does. Snow is getting a little braver each day and we have even begun to see her tail start to wag. She crates nice at night and so far, has been a lower energy dog. For example, she enjoyed six+ hours of snuggle time on the couch watching football this past weekend. She is not sure what to do with treats or toys yet and humans are still a little scary if standing or on the move, but on the couch, she will inch up to you for a snuggle. She is also learning what it is like to be outside and walk on a leash is. Snow is good with anyone holding her. Snow would be prefect dog for someone with looking for super sweet companion on the calm side. It will take some patience to help her continue to learn how to be a dog. Snow takes comfort around her foster sister. An ideal home would have a brother or sister dog so she can continue to gain the comfort and a dog to model behaviors from."
We hope a patient, understanding adopter will open their home to this little cutie!
Snow’s adoption fee is $375. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative. She will be receiving a dental at Heartland on December, 31st.
