Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update... Fluffy has a spay date of 12/18/25......
Fluffy is a pure breed long hair red dachshund. She is around 13 pounds and had a birth date of 9/20/19. On 12/15/25 she took her freedom walk in to rescue from a breeding facility where she was used for profit. Fortunately we were called to take her in to find her a home where she can now live a life in a home where she will be loved and part of a family. We did not name her, she came with this name and im sure she will be fine with a name change. Fluffy has already started to blossom here in rescue just over night. She loves to run free in a big yard and has even picked up a toy, which is something she has never had. Fluffy has not seen our vet yet for her spay as she just arrived. She will be fully vetted prior to adoption (spayed, heartworm test, vaccinations, deworming, heartworm and flea prevention). Fluffy will absolutely need a fenced yard in her new home to keep her safe while outside to potty. She is not leash trained and will not potty on a leash. We will not approve a gome that does not have a fenced yard to keep her safe. If you are interested in her adoption please text or email us to request an application.

Additional adoption info
We do require an application/contract to be filled out and approved prior to scheduling to meet our rescues. All dogs/puppies will be spayed/neutered before adoption. If they are under 6 months of age they will go home on a spay/neuter contract that states they will have to be altered no later then 6 months of age. All adoption fees go towards the care of our homeless animals. The next heartworm positive dog that comes in, those strays that are dumped out and hit by a passing car, sick puppies, spays for those poor mommy dogs who have had a litter of pups every heat season, and any of those special needs babies who may need medications for the rest of their lives. All adoption fees do vary.

More about this rescue
We are a home based rescue with a heated and air conditioned adoption center that the rescues are very well cared for in. They all have large inside spaces where they are very comfortable, with doggy doors leading to their play yards outside. We do not crate or cage any of our rescues. They are on free feed and water and in the warm months everyone has a pool in their play yard to enjoy if they like. We work with several rescues to help transport, find fosters, or help make room by moving dogs to other no kill rescues/shelters. We would like to send a special THANK YOU out to all the wonderful rescues we have been working with in the past 16 years. You are all wonderful people and do a GREAT JOB. We all know how much time and hard work it takes to rescue an animal, let alone many homeless babies. Good luck to you all in rescue. We would also like to thank anyone and everyone who has adopted a pet, wether it was one of Forever Paws pups or any other rescue. All of these homeless animals need a forever home and its wonderful there are people who adopt.
