My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dobby - A Young Mama Ready for Her Own Fresh Start

Dobby is a 1-year-old, 44 lb sweetheart who has already endured more than most dogs ever should. She was surrendered to the shelter while pregnant and gave birth on death row, doing everything she could to protect her puppies in the most stressful environment imaginable.

Now that her seven pups are fully weaned and safe, it's Dobby's turn to finally be the one who gets chosen.

Dobby is gentle, loving, and resilient. She warms up quickly, seeks affection, and has a calm, observant nature. After months of focusing all her energy on motherhood, she's rediscovering what it means to be a young dog again-going on walks, exploring new surroundings, and enjoying time with her humans.

She deserves a home where she can rest, decompress, and be cherished as much as she has cared for others. Dobby would thrive with a family committed to giving her stability, patience, and love as she transitions from devoted mama to beloved companion.

Dobby is fully vetted, ready for adoption, and being fostered in San Diego.

If you're looking for a loyal, grateful dog with a beautiful spirit, Dobby is ready to begin her new chapter.

More about this rescue

We are a California-based dog rescue on a mission to save, foster, and find forever homes for at-risk dogs.

Our core team and volunteers are devoted to preventing unnecessary euthanasia while promoting public awareness of the over-population crisis. We invite you to join our cause, and ideally, one day, we will end capacity-based euthanasia once and for all.

...one paw at a time.
