I’m writing this with a heavy heart and an overwhelming amount of regret and guilt. Three years ago, I took in a rescue puppy I fell absolutely in love with. Lola had such a difficult start to life. She was kept outside, roped and chained, passed from owner to owner without stability or love. I poured my heart into bonding with her, healing with her, and giving her the home she deserved.
But life has taken an unexpected turn. I was recently diagnosed with heart condition at 36 weeks pregnant, caring for a two year old, and now working closely with a cardiologist while trying to focus on safely delivering a healthy baby.My energy has dropped overnight. I can no longer walk Lola or give her the attention, exercise, and time she needs and truly deserves.
Lola is a laid-back, loving dog who will cuddle you to death. She adores children and does great with all animals. She has cauliflower ear in both ears and is slightly hard of hearing, but it doesn’t slow her down.
