My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the Addams Family!

Here’s Thing, a fluffy goofball looking for his forever home! This cat family came to us from a kind human who took in a few stray cats that ended up with a few unplanned litters! She reached out when her cat family became too big and she needed help, that’s where we came in!

Thing is a handsome fluffy guy with a bratty attitude to balance out his good looks! Thing doesn’t love to groom himself too too well, so he’s usually stuck with a mat or two in his coat, and no, he doesn’t want to be brushed TOO much, only a little. He will be sent home with some calming meds for future vet visits so that he is able to maybe get some grooming done if he keeps up with that poor attitude in his new home. Thing has a chronic leaky eye, but you guessed it, he hates his eyes being wiped (we did figure out a trick to wiping them with minimal damage to the person wiping!) Thing absolutely loves yelling at you for pets with his cute meow, sleeping a very deep sleep in comfy spots, looking out the window at the outside action, catnip, wet food, and playing with mouse toys! Thing does well with other cats and especially enjoys playing with his brother, Uncle Fester. Thing would do best in a home with other friendly and playful kitties if Fester isn’t a match for you too. He has lived with dogs in his previous home. We think Thing would enjoy living with children, but since he can be a bit bratty, we think he should go to a home with older, cat savvy kiddos.

Thing is approximately 2.5 years old, neutered, microchipped, FIV/FELV tested negative, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, and had a dental while in our care. If this sassy fluffball sounds like the match for you, apply today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
