Lupita seeks attention and love from everyone she meets. She is a small, sleek kitty who we think is about one year old. She came into foster with five two-week-old kittens. Based on reports, we think this was already her second litter. She was a very protective mom (from other cats but not her foster mom) but was otherwise very paws off. She was far more interested in receiving affection from her foster mom or any person than in caring for her babies, but despite this, the kittens thrived and have now been adopted. Lupita has been spayed, so she will never again have to care for kittens. She likes to play, especially with wand toys. She enjoys catnip, and loves to climb on people and be held and cuddled or rest in a lap. She must have had a home when she was very small. Other cats frighten Lupita; this little girl was probably attacked by other cats after being dumped from her home. Dogs also frighten Lupita, as is apparent when she sees them at adoption events. Lupita is trying to integrate with the many cats in her foster home and has become more comfortable with most of them, but she would probably be happiest as the only cat in a home - or possibly living with only one other gentle cat to whom she is very slowly introduced. She would probably be OK in a home with children. If you'd like to meet Lupita and think she would be a good match for your family, please complete our adoption questionnaire at http://www.trentoncats.org/adoption-questionnaire/ and let your references know someone will be contacting them soon. All our cats are neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed and flea-treated, tested for FIV/FeLV, and microchipped prior to adoption. Thanks for opting to adopt!
