My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rome 💙

Rome is a 6-week-old Dachshund/Terrier mix weighing 3 lbs 6 oz, and he’s as sweet as they come. With his gentle personality and adorable puppy charm, it’s impossible not to fall in love. His mama is an 18-pound Dachshund mix, so Rome is expected to stay on the smaller side when grown.

Like all young pups, Rome is learning the ropes and working hard on his puppy skills and house training. He’s curious, affectionate, and ready to grow into a wonderful companion with a family who will guide him through puppyhood with patience and love.

If you’re looking for a sweet little pup to add joy to your home, Rome may be the perfect match. 🐾💙

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
