Hi there… I’m Burt. I’m a 7-month-old boy with a gentle heart and a soft, sensitive spirit. I came to the shelter as a stray, and I had some mishap out there which put me in a rough shape. You might notice my eyes look a little different. I have chronic corneal scarring and also Grade 3/4 heart mur mur, but don’t worry—it doesn’t need treatment right now and doesn’t slow me down or stop me from being me. All I need is an annual visit to the vet`s office to make sure I am in my top shape. I can be nervous and shy when we first meet, but if you move slowly and speak kindly, I’ll let you pet me—and before you know it, I may even start to relax and finally learn the beauty in this world. I’m hoping for a quiet, calm home where I can settle in at my own pace and learn that I’m safe. Loud noises and lots of chaos aren’t really my thing, but patience, gentle hands, and a cozy place to nap? That sounds perfect. And here’s a little secret to winning my heart: neck scratches and gentle massages are the fastest way to earn my love. Once I trust you, those soft touches help me melt and show my sweet side. If you’re looking for a sensitive, loving boy who just needs a little understanding and kindness, I might be your Burt. Because of my medical issues, my adoption fee is totally up to you ($30 admin fee still applies)! Can you bring me home and show me love please?
