Karl has a face that tells a story — not a flashy, dashing hero’s tale, but a quiet, tender one. His orange tabby coat is warmly brushed with white, and his eyes — the very same rich shade of amber-orange — seem to hold cautious hope. There’s something a little wistful about his expression, something endearingly solemn that makes you want to promise him everything will be okay. And with Karl, it will be.
Sweet but shy, Karl likes to take introductions at a thoughtful pace. He’s the kind of fellow who appreciates a slow approach and a soft voice. But here’s the lovely secret: it truly doesn’t take long. Offer him patience and kindness, and you’ll feel the shift — the lean of his head into your hand, the quiet rumble of a purr building beneath his orange fur.
Once comfortable, Karl is wonderfully affectionate. He loves being petted all over, especially under the chin, and he has a particular appreciation for enthusiastic butt scratches. He melts into touch with wholehearted devotion, as if making up for lost time.
Karl is comfortable with other cats and would do well in a multi-cat home. He’s cautious around children, preferring a peaceful environment where he can blossom at his own pace. He is FIV+, but with proper care, FIV+ cats live long, happy lives — and Karl has so much love left to give.
Behind that slightly sad little face is a heart ready to trust. Ready to show Karl that his forever starts now? Fill out an online adoption questionnaire today!

For an adoption fee of $150, you will take home a cat that has received the very best medical care and evaluation. Every cat that leaves Tabby’s Place has been thoroughly examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FeLV and FIV, and treated for parasites.
We are currently offering two methods of adoption meetings:
1. Adopters can meet cats in person between 2-5PM daily. Appointments are strongly recommended, but we will make every effort to accommodate walk-ins where possible. Most cats and some select kittens are available for in-person meetings.
2. Adopters can meet cats and kittens via video meeting between 10:00AM-5:00PM daily by appointment only and subject to availability. Kittens in foster homes are only available for video adoption meetings.
Get started now by completing our online application. One or our adoption counselors will then contact you within 48 hours.
