My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CLEO is a darling silver tabby male (yes, he's a boy!) with short dense fur. Laid back, affectionate, and sweet, Cleo loves sitting in your lap and will look up at you with hearts in his mesmerizing eyes. When he is playful, he really goes for it! He loves wand toys and when he catches the toy he shakes it in his mouth with primal intensity. He is curious, and he is also content to hang back and snuggle up in his favorite lap or napping spot. It may take Cleo a little time to warm up to a new situation, but once he does, he is very comfortable and friendly. He is quite shy around new people and unexpected noises, and will bolt for his safe space, but he usually re-emerges within a few minutes (unless the scary noise is the vacuum). With some patience and time, mellow lovebug Cleo will make a superb companion. He would love to go home with one of his siblings ZELDA or LINK.

CLEO has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and is negative for FeLV and FIV. His adoption fee includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet Cleo in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $155 adoption fee ($280 for a pair) allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to adoptioninfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. ID 2506-C0198

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. It is available on our website: https://catrescues.org/forms/cat-adoption-contract/ A paper copy is available at our adoption sites. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, have been de-wormed, treated with flea medication at intake, spayed or neutered, and have been microchipped and tested for felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette, at Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
