Meet Jose, a magnificent Great Pyrenees gentleman who's ready to find his perfect home! This gentle giant is currently staying in boarding while he waits for a foster or forever family to fall in love with him. Jose was picked up as a stray and came to us already neutered, and we've quickly discovered what a calm, easy-going, and genuinely nice boy he is. His extremely fine, fluffy fur is absolutely gorgeous and begs to be petted! Jose walks well on leash and gets along with both dogs and cats, making him a flexible addition to many households. While his housebroken status and experience with children are unknown due to his time in boarding, this sweet boy has shown us he's an indoor dog at heart who just wants to be with his people. He'll need a home with at least a 5-foot fence where he can enjoy some outdoor time while spending most of his days lounging inside with his loved ones. If you're looking for a mellow, friendly companion who'll bring warmth, fluff, and joy into your home, Jose could be just the pup for you!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
