Approximately 6 year old female mixed breed dog. Came from a shelter 5 years ago. Due to schedules she is crated through the day. She is great with those that live in the household, including cats, and once introduced to others, becomes comfortable with them.
Behavior issues include when she is able to get outside off lead, will dart out of the house and chase others if seen, jumping and barking at other people or dogs leaving her yard. She has not bitten anyone she had jumped at, but sounds aggressive. She is also protective of those in the household and a new person needs to be introduced in a controlled manner.
She does have a skin condition and allergies on her back hide which requires seeing the vet at times.
She is a loving dog, we believe she needs a bigger yard to run in, a more active family / owner that is able to do things with her a socialize her more. Currently in a home with 4 teen kids. Is house trained.
