From the rough roads of Maypearl TX, Poppy is now living the good life at Flying B. Once skittish and fearful, she remembers what it was like to be a beloved family pet. She’s settled right back in to home life after being kicked out for having babies (we assume).
Poppy excitedly greets us when we come home. She loves to cuddle and rest her paws on us during nap time. Poppy is also very treat motivated. She takes to her crate beautifully and is a really good girl.
She does very well with dogs of all sizes after she’s had an appropriate introduction and knows they aren’t a danger to her or her puppies - and this includes playing with a 4 month old Great Dane, and 2 old grumpy chihuahuas.

Flying B Animal Rescue & Sanctuary was founded in honor of my husband Tom Baker who passed away in 2023 from pancreatic cancer. Tom understood my profound love of animals and wanted me to follow my dream to start an animal rescue - so here we are.
