Meet Shadow, a beautiful 10-year-old girl with a heart full of loyalty. Shadow devotedly stayed by her owner’s side during recovery from a hip replacement—truly a constant companion. Sadly, due to ongoing health challenges, her owner could no longer care for her, and Shadow came into our rescue.
Shadow is a typical cat who enjoys affection on her own terms, and she’ll do best with someone who respects her boundaries. She has lived with other cats and small dogs, making her a great fit for a calm, loving home.
If you’re looking for a sweet, independent companion, Shadow may be your perfect match. She has excellent litter box habits, is fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, and had full bloodwork. She is a healthy cat with no medical concerns.
If you are interested in Shadow, please email tysonsplacerescue@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application available here: https://tysonsplacerescue.org/cat-and-dog-adoptions/#adopt (scroll down to the bottom for the application).

More about this rescue
Our mission is to assist terminally ill people with finding homes for their pets. Since we help people receiving hospice care, heading into nursing homes, or families after the pet owner died, we often receive older animals. WE value older animals and cherish all that they can offer to their new family. We do not have a physical facility, so we rely on volunteers to foster the pets in their home until they are adopted.
