Mabel is a petite 12-pound Chihuahua mix from Tijuana, Mexico with a gentle soul and an A+ snuggle game. This sweet mama is ready for her own next chapter. Her daughter, Maddy, is also up for adoption, but they do not need to go home together.
Mabel would thrive in a calm, low-chaos home, either as an only dog or with other low-energy companions. She does well around cats and children. She is still timid on a leash and would do best in a home with a secure fenced yard.
She’s doing great with potty training and has had virtually no accidents. Mabel handled her first nail trim like a champ and is easy to handle overall. She has some minor food/treat guarding, so separate feeding and continued gentle training are recommended; toys are no issue.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.
Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.
Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.
Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
