Aspen is listed as a 3-year-old female Labrador Retriever Mix, she was brought in by a field officer after her owner was arrested. She was never reclaimed and was saved from the euthanasia list in Modesto, ca. She was brought in with 2 cats so she is possibly cat friendly.
Aspen presents with toe touching lameness LTL; thickening of the elbow with decreased range of motion and muscle atrophy. X-rays show luxation of the left elbow joint, chronic degenerative changes. So basically, she walks with a limp but doesn't let it slow her down!
Someone forgot to tell Aspen that she has these injuries! Aspen is happy, energetic, runs zoomies around the yard, very people social and dog friendly after slow introductions. She is a sweet girl, who loves being with her people. Aspen would love the chance at a new beginning, maybe this time one that will be able to shower her with love and affection.
I don't know if Aspen will have any medical needs, it is likely that as she ages arthritis will be in her future but as of now she fly's like she's free of pain.
