Meet Smokey – A Lap-Loving Gentleman Looking for His Person
Smokey is a stunning white male kitty, estimated to be around 2 years old, with one unforgettable feature — a tail that looks like it was dipped in ink. About a year ago, we first noticed him during neighborhood walks, hanging out with a nearby colony a few blocks away. By the following spring, Smokey began showing up near our home, clearly hungry, skinny, and in need of help.
Because his ear was not tipped and he was acting a bit tough with the other outdoor cats, we trapped him and got him neutered — and that’s when we discovered what a sweetheart he truly is.
With people, Smokey is incredibly friendly and affectionate. He absolutely loves sitting on laps, being carried around, and happily kneading away while making biscuits. He’s the kind of cat who wants to be close, soaking up love and attention whenever he can.
While Smokey is still learning how to navigate life with other cats and may prefer to be the only feline in the home, he does just fine with dogs — he even seems to play a little with ours! We haven’t had the chance to see how he does around children yet, but given his loving nature with adults, he may do well in a calm, respectful household.
We would love to keep Smokey ourselves, but we feel he would truly thrive in a home where he can be someone’s special lap cat, without the stress of sharing space with other cats.
Smokey deserves a loving, patient home where he can finally settle in, feel safe, and return all the love he has been waiting to give. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Smokey might be your perfect match.

Meowtown Animal Rescue of Fort Worth rescues cats and kittens from local Fort Worth neighborhoods. We foster all of our animals in our homes, we do not have a physical location. All of our cats/kittens are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, socialized and loved in their foster homes and then adopted out to their furever homes.
