My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Churro is a 15 lb small mix who was left abandoned in the yard of a vacant home. Things are looking up for Churro now that he is a Rocket Dog, but he needs some help learning how to trust people. Churro is a nervous little guy who will need patient, gentle guidance as he comes out of his shell. A calm, quiet home with a confident resident dog is sure to help him feel more comfortable. Once he warms up, he is sure to be as sweet as his namesake!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue dog! Whether you adopt from Rocket Dog or another rescue group, the fact is you will save a life. Adopting a rescued animal is a lifetime commitment! The first step in our adoption process is completing an adoption questionnaire here: https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/

From there, you will be contacted by a volunteer to talk more about what you're looking for and if the dog you're interested in might be a good fit.

Go meet their pets

Our dogs live both in foster homes and at the Rocket Dog Sanctuary in Oakland. The best way to arrange a meeting for a specific dog is to fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website here: https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/

We have adoption events every weekend throughout the Bay Area, which you can see here - https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/events/
