My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lizzy — the gentle little survivor with the sweetest meow you’ll ever hear! 💙🐾

Lizzy is a Seal Point beauty with a heart full of love. She may be missing her left rear leg, but she doesn’t let that stop her from soaking up every moment of comfort and connection. Rescued after being found outdoors with an injured leg, Lizzy received life-changing care from Angel Paws Veterinary Services, who quickly discovered her tender spirit and irresistible charm. ✨

This lovely girl is friendly, affectionate, and wonderfully talkative — her tiny meow will melt you on the spot. She can be shy at first, but once she feels safe, she becomes a laid-back cuddle companion who adores gentle pets, cozy beds, and quiet time with her people. She loves wet food, treats, and anything that makes her feel warm and loved. 🛏️💕

Lizzy is searching for a loving family who will cherish her, offer her soft places to rest, and enjoy her sweet company each day. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion who brings warmth and gratitude into every moment, Lizzy might be the one. 💖

** Lizzy needs a quiet, indoor-only home with plenty of room to run around, cat trees to climb on, and toys to play with. She needs a family who will give her lots of love, attention, and playtime. **

Lizzy would prefer to be the only cat in the home. We aren’t sure how she is with dogs. She does well with respectful, older children and she is litter box trained.

Ready to open your heart to a very special girl? Come meet Lizzy and let her show you how wonderful life with her can be! 🐾🏡❤️

More about this rescue

Friends of Community-Cats Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization, with an incredible team of volunteers, dedicated to rescuing and saving the lives of cats and kittens in need. We are based out of Davis County, Utah and we help many of our local and surrounding shelters.
We take in the abandoned, abused, unwanted, neglected, geriatric, neonatal, sick, injured and cats who are often overlooked or struggling at shelters. The cats/kittens then go into foster homes, and as needed, we get the cats medical care, rehabilitation and bring them back to health and prepare them for adoption. We have a great adoption/foster program in which we spay/neuter, vaccinate and microchip the cats and kittens before placing them into loving, adoptive homes.
We also care for many special needs cats, hospice cats, special needs/senior feral cats who can’t be released outdoors and other cats with needs that essentially make them “unadoptable”. Those kitties stay in our program as permanent fosters, so they will always get the care that they need.
We participate in Trap-Neuter-Return for community cats. We provide food, shelters and medical care for dozens of community-cats daily. We also assist low-income families with medical care and food for their animals as we are able to.
We are 100% volunteer and foster based and rely on donations from the community to care for the animals in our organization. We mostly focus on cats, however we do help other animals as well when we are able, such as dogs, small animals and livestock.
Our director, Kali Cristaudo, founded this organization in 2012. Since then, we have grown so much, formed an incredible team of volunteers and have saved thousands of lives. We will continue to save more and more lives every year!
