MY RESCUE STORY

My mom was neglected for a long time, yet she still brought me and my siblings into the world. She gave birth to seven puppies, including me, and thankfully, kind rescuers found us and took us in. Now, I’m looking for my forever family!

MY HEALTH

  • Healthy with no known health issues

  • Neutering scheduled

MY PERSONALITY

I’m a super sweet boy who absolutely loves people, and you’ll notice it the moment you meet me. I adore being close — cuddling up in your arms, soaking in pets, and enjoying every bit of affection you give. Being with my people is my happiest place.

MY SOCIAL SKILLS

· With People: I may be a little shy at first, but don’t let that fool you — I’m truly warm and sweet once you give me a moment. I’ll happily come over to greet you in my own gentle way. I don’t love being petted right away, but I’ll take treats from your hand ever so softly, and it doesn’t take long at all for me to open up and show my affectionate side. Once I feel comfortable, I also allow myself to be picked up and enjoy the closeness.

With Dogs: I’m friendly with my dog friends and truly enjoy making new ones. I generally get along best with dogs around my size, and having canine companions brings me a lot of emotional comfort and confidence. Being around other dogs helps me feel secure and happy as I navigate the world.

· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.

ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY

I have a moderate energy level—I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m just as happy to snuggle up indoors afterward.

TRAINING & HABITS

I’m learning to walk well on my leash. I’m gaining confidence everyday but loud noises and sudden movements can startle me and when that happens I will lie flat on the ground. I will need continued guidance in walking confidently in leash. I don’t guard my food against dogs and people. I prefer outdoor potty only. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel. I can bark when I want attention and when I meet strangers.

MY IDEAL HOME

I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:

  • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself, and a stable environment.

  • A family that understands I’m still a young pup and is patient with me throughout and continue to provide me with basic training and socialization.

  • A family that enjoys outdoor & indoor time together.

  • A family that will love and cherish me forever.

  • Ideally a home with another dog sibling, but not an absolute requirement.

SPECIAL NOTES

I’m considered a Level 3 rescue dog, which means I may need about a week to feel fully settled and comfortable in a new environment. During that adjustment period, patience and consistency go a long way in helping me feel safe. When I get scared on walks, I may try to slip out of my harness, so for my safety it’s essential that I’m always double-leashed with both a harness and collar, along with a GPS tracker when outdoors. With the right precautions and loving guidance, I’ll gain confidence and continue to thrive.
