My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Micah is an AMAZING little man! He is gentle and sweet and seems to seek comfort from his caregivers. He is just over a year and a half and was described by his previous owners as affectionate, friendly and playful. He is used to dogs and cats from his previous home, but predator and prey animal introductions should always be approached with extreme caution and patience, only attempt introductions if you are 100% confident your animal has no pray drive and has interacted well with small aniamls before.

Micah has been neutered since being in our care, he fathered babies in the past, and we have one of his sons, Casper, in the shelter. We are working on potty training with him currently, and finding what food he is happy eating. He has had a little struggle transitioning into the stress of shelter life and would love to find a calm home where he can decrompress and receive the love and comfort he deserves.

Rabbits make wonderful companions, but they do require specialized care to thrive. Before adopting, please take the time to research their unique needs to ensure you're fully prepared to provide a happy, healthy home. Rabbits are not reccomended for families with children under 10 years old due to their fragile nature and specialized care. You can learn more here:

If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application in person or online:

Once you have a general approval you can set up an appointment to have a 1-on-1 meet. Rabbits can also be seen in their play pens during open viewing hours Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 1-5.
