My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

With fur the color of toffee and eyes that just make you melt, Butterscotch is a pup who truly embodies his name. This sweetheart was owner-surrendered with his sister, Toasty, and they make a truly iconic pair! We would love to see Toasty and Butterscotch get adopted together again, but we think they could thrive apart, provided with plenty of structure and patience.

Butterscotch is the submissive boyfriend of your dreams: He rolls right over for belly rubs at every opportunity, he sits quietly at your feet, and he happily helps you finish your food. He is okay with other dogs provided they are respectful of his space, and he doesn’t mind cats. Overall, Butterscotch is relatively low-maintenance, but he will require the occasional haircut to stay looking fresh.

More about this rescue

SNIPSA is an organization formed by a group of veterinarians and caring individuals dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted animals in San Antonio and the surrounding area. SNIPSA does not have a standing shelter and depends on a core of volunteers to foster and rehabilitate animals in their homes. This provides us with the opportunity to learn first hand about the animal’s needs and behavior in order to facilitate an appropriate adoption. SNIPSA was incorporated in 2005 and has re-homed more than 3000 animals.
