My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Lucy. I am a 2 year old Cattle Dog mix. I know - I am a bit portly - about 65 lbs but should be closer to low to mid 50s. I will get there in no time now that I am getting out on walks (I am good on leash) and staying active with my dog friends! I am housebroken, crate-trained and a great house guest. I love people and is quite the velcro dog with my humans, especially her foster mom. I love to chill on the couch; not sure I have ever been on such a comfy couch. I also love cats. I have been around MANY dogs in my life. I am good with them and I live with two now but I also need some slow intros. I want to make sure I can trust them and everyone is on the same page. I have not met young kiddos yet. I would love a fenced in yard, a mildly active family and just a nice home where I can finally be pampered! I am located in the tri-state area! We will contact you for a phone call within 72 hours after submission of your application. Please check your spam for our emails!

Additional adoption info

Please email info@asecondchanceforziva.com for an adoption application if interested in adopting or fostering a dog from ASCZ and please email us after you have submitted an application. After all checks on the application have been completed, the potential adopter will speak with the rescue to discuss what they are looking for and if a dog will be a great fit in their home. Once an application is submitted, the adopter will hear from the rescue within 72 hours.

The fee for puppies under 6 months is $525 and the fee for dogs 6 months and older is $425. This fee contributes to (but not limited to) all core vaccinations for each puppy/dog, microchip, spay/neuter, HW testing and prevention and flea/tick prevention while under the rescue's care and transportation.

A Second Chance for Ziva, Inc. (ASCZ) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs regardless of breed, size or age. ASCZ rescues, cares for and adopts out homeless dogs into loving and responsible homes. The rescue does not have a shelter but rather we rely on devoted fosters that open their homes and provide love and comfort to our dogs.
