My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Otter is an adorable, charming boy with a lot of personality packed into a cute package! He’s sweet, engaging, and ready to find a home that understands him and will help him continue to succeed.

One important thing to know about Otter is that he is sensitive about his neck area. Because of this, he does not enjoy being leashed by the collar and may become frustrated during leash-up time. When this happens, Otter can redirect his frustration toward the leash by biting, tugging, or whipping it with his head.

For Otter’s comfort and safety, he would do best as a harness-only dog. Wearing a collar may be challenging for him, as we do not yet know why neck handling is uncomfortable for him. We are actively working with Otter on this behavior, and transparency is important so his future adopters can set him up for success from day one.

Otter will thrive with adopters who are patient, understanding, and open to continuing positive, force-free training. With the right setup and support, this cute boy has so much love to give. šŸ’›
