At 5-1/2 months old, ASHER is a stunning fellow who has sadly spent half his life behind shelter bars. Found as a stray with siblings (you met Liora a few days ago), he is ready to leave his "mystery" past behind and focus on his "happy" future.
The Asher "Stats":
🔹 The Look: Sleek, shiny black coat with a white chest, white feet and dapper white stockings on his front legs.
🔹The Ears: Let’s talk about the main event—those ears! Almost as tall as he is, they can hear a treat bag opening from miles away. 📡
🔹 The Weight: Currently a sturdy 25 lbs, nice medium size.
🔹 The Skills: Social butterfly, dog-friendly, loves people and—wait for it—he walks great on a leash! 🦮🏆

The shelter is located at 589 Coolwater Drive in Bastrop Texas. Please come meet our pets Wednesday through Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm

The Bastrop Animal Control organization became a reality in 1998. We've grown since then and continue to do so as Bastrop County grows. Currently, we have 3 separate buildings containing a total of 90 large indoor/outdoor kennels and 8 play yards. We have 30 indoor cat kennels. We also have a 3 room cattery, that enables cats to live together in colony type environments until they find their forever home. If you have ever worked with or adopted a shelter pet, you know just how much they crave the attention and love we and our volunteers can provide and their eternal gratitude when they find their forever home at last.
