I adopted Shirley from a shelter in Boston about eight years ago. She is a 9-year-old spayed female American Shorthair who has lived indoors her whole life. Shirley is a very shy, gentle, and quiet cat—she tends to hide when people are around, especially strangers, but will slowly come out and approach once everyone is seated and the environment is calm. She is litterbox trained, not declawed, has no known medical conditions or special diet needs, and is not currently up to date on vaccinations. I’m hoping to find her a patient, low-traffic, quiet home with an adopter who will give her time and space to settle in and feel safe. I need to help Shirley to find a new home because I will need to move for a new job.
