I’m a dashing three-year-old neutered brown tabby male, FIV and FeLV negative, up to date on my shots, and ready to pack up my booty and set sail for my new home!
I showed up at an established colony, and after I was trapped and brought into the rescue, it was clear that I was not meant for outdoor life. I had a lot of wounds, because I got beat up badly by other cats out there. I am missing an eye, and the vet said that at some point it had been removed and surgically closed. I was also already neutered, so at some point I was in a home. I don’t know what happened, but I was not claimed by anyone.
I am an absolute sweetheart who is a lover and not a fighter, so I’m looking for my indoor forever home where I can get a lot of love, pets and treats. So far I get along well with other cats, but I get scared and run from cats with very dominant personalities, probably because of my scary outside experiences.
I am very affectionate and soooo grateful to be inside, that I give the sweetest head boops and kisses. I’m a gentle boy with a heart of gold and I love to get forehead kisses. I don’t mind being picked up. I’m not sure if I’ve ever been around dogs, but I think I would be okay with a very calm, gentle dog, with proper introductions. I’m also not sure if I’ve been around kids, but I think I’ll be fine with older calm kids who respect my boundaries. I’ll do best in a quiet home to help me feel safe and secure.
I’m currently eating wet and dry food and loving it all! Churu treats are also quite welcome. So far, I enjoy kicking toy mice around and chasing them, and I’d love to check out other toys with my new family. I like cozy sleeping spots like a high up perch or a good fluffy bed. I also really enjoy cardboard scratch houses!

We’re thrilled you’re considering giving one of our cats or kittens a loving forever home! Here’s what to expect during the adoption process:
📋 Adoption Application & Contract
To ensure the best match for both you and our cats, we require:
Adoption Application – Helps us understand your home, motivation for adoption, and expectations as a pet owner.
Adoption Contract – Includes an indoor-only and no declawing clause, as well as a Vet Promissory Note to ensure continued veterinary care and spay/neuter follow-through (if applicable).
🌍 Adoption Area
We do not adopt out of state, except on a case-by-case basis near the North Carolina border.
💸 Adoption Donations
Your donation helps us continue rescuing and caring for cats in need:
Unaltered kittens – a minimum donation of $120.
(Includes vaccine series, deworming, and medical care. Adopter is responsible for spay/neuter and rabies vaccine once age-appropriate. We can recommend low-cost vet services.)
Spayed/Neutered cats – a minimum donation of $140
Bonded pairs – a minimum donation of $200
Career/Barn cats – a minimum donation of $25

Meet & Greet is required to ensure a good match—please bring the whole family!
In some cases, we may require a home inspection or rental verification.

Billy the Kidden Rescue is a VDACS-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded in 2014 and supported by a network of over 60 active foster homes across Hampton Roads.
Our mission is to improve the lives of displaced cats and reduce the feral cat population in our community by socializing outdoor-born and feral kittens—transforming them into loving, adoptable pets and placing them in safe, forever homes.
