Ginger is a senior dachshund who came to the shelter, along with her sister Kelli, when her owner died. We would love for them to be adopted together, but we would still be happy if they each got a great home independently!

People must come in for personal interview and complete adoption form. If renting, written permission from landlord is required. Adoption fee is $225. We require animals be returned to our facility if adoption does not work out. We require a signed agreement never to chain or crate an animal (crate exception for transport only). We DO NOT support crating! We follow up with phone call or home visit within first month. Adoptions are by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, call 231-944-6520. You must be 21 years or older to adopt.
