My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rupert is ready to be your favourite teddy bear!

This beautiful boy came to EHS after wandering into his rescuer’s backyard, and he is ready to settle into the warmth of his very own fur-ever home.

ABOUT RUPERT

Rupert is ever-the-charmer with an affectionate, energetic, and confident nature.
He is an enthusiastic athlete who loves to play with his bird and ball toys, as well as jump around his environment like a pro! (This brilliant boy has even already taught himself how to open doors with lever-style handles in his foster home.)
Rupert is the definition of a cuddle bug. He consistently curls up beside his foster mom at night, boasting a loud purr, expert biscuit making skills, and the occasional suckle.
Occasionally, he becomes overstimulated by too many pets, but he will let you know with a gentle paw tap.
Rupert has FIV, which is a virus that weakens the immune system of a cat but is not transmissible to humans or other species.
Rupert is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, and up to date on core vaccinations.

RUPERT’S IDEAL HOME

Rupert will do best with an owner who has lots of love and energy to give but will also take time to understand and respect his body language.
He would appreciate a home with lots of toys and perches, as well as cozy spots to snuggle up when he is not being lavished with attention!
Rupert seems to be an easy-going socialite who greets guests and is comfortable with the respectful, well-behaved dogs in his foster home.
Rupert does not require medication but vet checkups twice a year are recommended.
Cats who have FIV can live just as long as other cats if they are properly cared for with a good diet, an indoor home, and a loving family.
