Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Heat Miser—a puppy whose spirit truly cannot be broken. No matter what, this little guy keeps bouncing back with his signature goofy energy and big personality. Heat Miser was adopted and returned, and while it didn’t work out, it helped us learn more about what he needs to be successful. He’s not the happiest living with young kids, and his playful, silly nature can sometimes come out as mouthing, which we’re actively working on. Though small and young, Heat Miser is very opinionated and can be a bit snarky—not mean at all, just a mischievous button-pusher who genuinely finds his own antics hilarious.
Heat Miser would thrive with a confident leader—someone who can laugh at his humor and help him rein in those opinions so he can be a well-mannered, fun contribution to society. He listens well when corrected with a solid “mom,” “dad,” or teacher voice and is eager to learn when clear boundaries are in place. He gets along with other dogs, though if they let him, he’ll happily push boundaries and continue the bit—so a meet-and-greet is the best way to make sure everyone’s personalities mesh.
Now for the fan-favorite part: Heat Miser loves teens and adults, lives for playtime, and is super silly. Despite his name, he adores the snow and also enjoys being carried around like a baby. When he’s done being chaotic, he’s happy to cuddle up on comfy dog beds and soak in the love. He’s one of those dogs who is absolutely a favorite for some staff members… and maybe not everyone’s cup of tea for others—and that’s okay. If you appreciate a funny, bold little dog with a big personality and have the time, patience, and sense of humor to guide him, Heat Miser is a truly special guy just waiting for the right match
