My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: Adult

Introducing Mr Tibbs, a graceful dove, whose elegance knows no bounds. His pristine plumage, gentle demeanor and soft coos make Mr. Tibbs an ideal pet for those seeking the companionship of a quieter bird. Once you earn their trust, doves make affectionate (and even cuddly) pets that thrive with a more relaxed lifestyle. Mr Tibbs was found as a stray, so his past is unknown, but his future looks bright with you. Reach out to Calgary Humane today to meet him and learn more about how to care for doves!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
