Two hours ago, my family dropped me off and drove away. I’ve been staring at the door ever since, waiting for them to realize they forgot me. But the car hasn’t come back.
My name is Thora. Three years ago, I was chosen. I was a tiny kitten then, and I thought I had found my forever. I gave them my purrs, my warmth, and my heart. But then a new baby came, and with the baby came allergies. Suddenly, the love I gave wasn’t enough to let me stay.
I am back in my foster home now, confused and heartbroken. I am a sweet, gentle girl. I get along with other cats. I am healthy and up to date on my shots. But none of that mattered today.
I am scared to hope again, but I have to ask: Is there anyone out there who understands what "forever" really means? I just want a home where I won't be left behind again.
