My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Stork. Stork came to TCR with four of her own babies and two other older kittens that seemed to have adopted her as their mother as well. Stork was a great mom to her four babies, plus her two extras, but now she is ready to go to her forever home!

When Stork came to the rescue, she was completely skin and bones from feeding so many kittens (who were definitely ready to be eating regular food). After a round of antibiotics for a cold, lots of food, and a couple weeks of much needed rest away from her kittens, Stork was feeling much better and had a brand new personality.

Stork is pretty laid back and loves all of the pets, scratches, and attention you will give her. She does like to play with toys sometimes, but she doesn’t get to play alone a lot being surrounded by her many kittens hogging all of the toys. Stork loves to sleep in the top of the big cat tree at her foster home and would love to have one someday in her future home. She is very food motivated and loves wet food, dry food, treats, and churus.

Stork seems to get a little overwhelmed with other cats and can get a little feisty when other cats invade her space. Her foster parents believes she would do best in a single pet home, or in a home with another laid back cat who can give her plenty of space. Stork hasn’t met any young children, but she is incredibly affectionate and may do well with gentle, older children.

Stork is estimated to be about 2.5 years old. She has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Apply for this beautiful lady today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
