Maxine is a loyal, loving, happy and protective Sharberian Husky, 6yo/65 pounds, who still runs zoomies. She would love someone who works at home, fenced yard and will expect daily walks at least 30 min. or more. Shes used to walking with a harness and leash. She is perfectly house broke. She likes to lay at your feet. She will bark, keep you safe and not let a stranger in your house. She loves older kids, hasn't been around babies and toddlers that squeal. Max has a strong prey instinct, don't trust her with small dogs or cats or chickens. She will come when you call her name. She loved the pears and apples from our trees, loves to play in the snow and may love to pull a sled. We fostered Maxine for a relative while he was homeless for 18 months. He got her back for 3 weeks before he died 12/7/25. We have a large senior dog, they get along well, but 2 large dogs are too much for our budget and energy. Looking for a good person/couple/family she can love and protect and be loved back.
