Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Quinn, the sweet mama who is finally ready for her own turn in the spotlight! Quinn spent a long time being the brave protector for her puppies, and while she started her journey with us feeling a bit small and unsure of the world, she has blossomed into a joyful, `zoomie-loving` girl.
She is a sensitive soul who takes a little extra time to come out of her shell in new places, but the secret to her heart is simple: patience and hot dogs! Once she knows she’s safe, Quinn’s true personality shines. She does adorable little hops into the air when she’s excited and zooms around with pure delight. She is a total toy enthusiast, loves playing with other dogs, and will happily roll over for all the tummy scritches you can give.
Quinn is already potty trained and is generally a very good girl when left alone to roam a dog-proofed house, though her scavenger heart might lead her to any snacks left within reach! While she hasn’t met cats yet, we think this gentle girl would likely do well with children. After a lifetime of looking after others, Quinn is so ready for a family to look after her. If you have a soft spot for a shy girl with a heart of gold, Quinn might just be your perfect match!
Quinn is currently staying in a foster home, if you are interested in meeting her please email Info@TailsHumaneSociety.org

A staff member will ask you what sort of pet you are looking for and then will provide you with information about specific pets that appear to be a good fit for your family, taking into consideration such factors as: kids, level of activity, your pet experience, other animals currently in the home, etc. You will be encouraged to interact with the pet or pets of your choice in a private visiting room. We believe that bringing a new pet into your home is an important decision so you’ll have plenty of time to make your decision without feeling rushed. Staff and volunteers will be available throughout this time to answer any questions you may have. Once you’ve made your choice, an adoption counselor will review the adoption contract with you.
You’ll pay the adoption fee. Then you’ll take your new family member home with you!
An animal can be put on hold in person at the TAILS facility during regular adoption hours.

Our mission: Saving the lives of companion animals through rescue, adoption and spay/neuter; advocating for pets in our region.
TAILS Humane Society is a limited admission animal shelter providing a safe haven for almost 2,400 animals each year. We are committed to providing each animal the time and medical care they need to have their best chance at adoption.
TAILS was established in 1999 by a group of local animal advocates dedicated to bringing a comprehensive animal shelter to DeKalb. We operated out of an old farmhouse until 2005 when we cut the ribbon on our Barber Greene facility. In 2009, we opened our low cost Spay/Neuter Clinic providing quality, affordable sterilization services to the public. We continue to grow and strengthen our programs and service as we continue to save lives.
