Hi! I’m Zeek 🐾

I’m a 4-year-old Boxer, and even though life hasn’t always been easy, I’ve always kept my tail wagging. I came to Big Dog Ranch from Mobile County Animal Shelter a little on the skinny side. Okay… maybe more than a little. I could’ve used a few extra cheeseburgers! But even when my belly was empty, my heart was full.

The nice humans here made sure I got good meals, cozy naps, and lots of love. I’m filling out now and feeling stronger every day — but I never stopped being sweet as can be. That’s just who I am.

I love leaning my whole Boxer body against you (personal space? Never heard of it). I’ll follow you around just to keep you company and look up at you with those big hopeful eyes that say, “Are we best friends yet?” Spoiler alert: we are.

I’m gentle, affectionate, and just happy to be safe. I don’t ask for much — a soft bed, steady meals, and someone to love me forever. I promise I’ll give you my whole heart in return.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from us please visit the ranch. Our website adoptions page has all of our availalbe dogs and our adoption application at www.bdrr.org/adopt. This will help us make sure we find you the right dog to fit your situation and family. You are welcomed to come to the ranch seven days a week or you can make an appointment with our adoption desk. Our adoption fees range depending on the dog's breed, age and other factors.
